The field of avian colour vision and colour signalling has recently
advanced rapidly, and there has been a fundamental shift in how colour
is measured, characterised and analysed in ecology and the behavioural
sciences in general.
The aim of this conference is to bring together international researchers
in the field in order to present and discuss the theoretical and practical
state-of-the-art.
The meeting, which will take place over two days, and will consist of
invited and contributed oral presentations, posters, and a workshop(s)
on spectrometry. The study of avian colour vision is invariably interdisciplinary,
including visual physiologists, molecular biologists, animal behaviourists
and ecologists, and this will be reflected in the contributors.
This site will be updated as more information becomes available.
